I'm a Virginia native transplanted in Texas, but I've lived all over the country. I really am a rolling stone! I am 43 years old, I have no kids and I'm what I call a hopeful atheist.

I write creatively and for web content (yes, I get paid for it!) and I also own and run several websites, one of which is strictly for reviews of zombie and/or post-apocalyptic fiction.

For fun I like to read non-fiction about royal dead people and chase my pet goats around the little mini-farm on which I live. I collect owls and bats (not real ones - could you imagine the energy it would take to clean all that?) and DVDs.

For the most part, I cut my teeth on "hair metal," but my first experience with "real" metal was a listen to Metallica's song Leper Messiah. I still love old Metallica as well as Slayer, Pantera and a few more obscure things (like Speticflesh, Within Temptation and Crowbar).
