I also write and publish unorthodox vampire fiction as a hobby.

I'm mostly harmless, unless you hate it when someone can make you laugh. I'm kinda good at that.

Simply hanging out and talking, really -- just getting to know one another without the pressure of trying to live up to anybody's notions of what a "good" first date should be.

Not very romantic, sure, but I really do want to get to know somebody before I even begin to make a clumsy attempt at being Romeo. I'm not terribly suave, and I'm fully aware of it -- so I instead like to focus on your personality and what you're like, and give you a chance to get to know me.

That way, if I totally screw up an attempt at being romantic, I'm less likely to come off like a complete loser! Y'see, I'm kinda dense, but I'm not dumb.

Going to a comic, science fiction, or horror convention of some sort -- it seems like it'd be a really fun experience. Unless everybody's been lying to me...

Someone who's stable, intelligent, and has a really open sense of humor -- and who won't look upon me as a scratching post or ATM, because I'm neither.

I value respect, kindness, and consideration -- and I don't want someone to look after me, keep me out of trouble, or run my life. I do that just fine by myself, thank you. At the same time, I don't want to have to be anybody's babysitter, either.

It'd be nice to have someone to go on little adventures with, even if it's only hunting for a hard-to-find book, going to a concert, or going for a walk. As I said, I'm not a complex guy -- it'd be cool to have somebody to share the fun things in my life with, and see what sorta things she's got in her life.
