Currently participating in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults at St James/St Patrick in Decatur IL. Felt drawn to Catholicism for years, now just seemed like the right time to go for it.

I am very creative and off-beat by nature and find beauty in things others find disturbing - in a word, that's what I would call a Goth. I like old school, "real" goth rock, like the Sister's of Mercy, Bauhaus, and the Mission.
I also enjoy folk metal, doom metal, symphonic metal and other forms of rock and hard rock. The radio station I usually listen to in the car is a classical station. I like folk and tribal music of many kinds. I usually don't care that much for the very commercialized sound(s) that get played on the radio.
I want very badly to study music in university, ultimately getting a MM in ethnomusicology, but the wherewithal is not and has never been there to do so. :(
I am into human rights stuff a lot. I'm passionate about the oppression of women around the world, like human trafficking, FGM, un-prosecuted r***, "honor" killings, and discrimination in employment and legal systems. I am into the non-gmo natural food movement and care about the environment too. I am passionate about indigenous rights and am interested in American Indian Culture and issues.
Long-term, I want to do mission work but in a form that will be really creative.

It depends what is going on around that time. If nothing, then I guess a visit to a museum will work, or eating somewhere locally-owned,and/or a movie... Lots of stuff is fun. :)

Want to go mountain climbing again.
HOPE to be able to attend Amphi Fest in Germany next year, it would be my first time out of the country.

Long-term, I would like to be involved in global missions and human rights work, somehow tying music into that, with theater and fine arts and any creative endeavor with any applicable use...
I want to go back to school and study ethnomusicolgy, and get trained in permaculture design with certification to train others, and do some serious humanitarian work in both social and practical areas.
